Someone over in SD says a friend bought one and the quality is crap, even on HDMI. I don't want to take a chance on it being true.

Tempting. The price is good, but compared to a 46" TV:
- Lacks speakers (a nearly $300 option), you'd want to connect this to a home theater.
- Lacks tuner, you'll need an external satellite, cable, or HDTV receiver.
- No pedestal stand.
- Brightness and contrast ratio are lower than Sharps Aquos line.
- None of the new TV features like 120Hz or dynamic contrast.

I do like the slim, no-nonsense bezel and weighs only 48.5lbs. Warranty is 3-years and I think commercial screens are built to tougher standards.
